At home in the Bomenbuurt
Welcome at the site of the Bomenbuurt residents Organistion (SBOB) in the Hague.
Since 1981, we have been committed to a good living environment in our neighborhood.
The Bomenbuurt neighborhood is an attractive place to live, work, shop, go out, and learn. Ande manny volunteers work under our umbrella to keep it that way and even improve it.

The renowned architect Berlage designed the street plan of the Bomenwijk neighborhood and, in broad terms, the various types of housing that give the streets in the neighborhood their own distinctive character. The location is attractive: just behind the dunes, near Segbroekpark, where the Haagse Beek flows, you’re just a short walk from the center of The Hague.
The Fahrenheitstraat, a busy shopping street with supermarkets and smaller specialty shops, runs right through the neighborhood. Restaurants, coffee shops, and cafés line the Fahrenheitstraat and its surroundings.
Scattered throughout the neighborhood are primary and secondary schools, childcare facilities, and facilities for the elderly.
Of course, we also face challenges: greening and making our neighborhood more sustainable, keeping traffic safe, and promoting a clean streetscape. These are issues that many residents are working on. And not just on these serious matters, but also on festive activities like Halloween and the summer festival.
Experience it all in the Bomenbuurt!
