Are you familiar with the Valkenbos Neighborhood Cabinet?
In 2022, Jolanda Fasseur set up a neighborhood cabinet on Valkenboskade. She placed non-perishable food and toiletries in it for people struggling to make ends meet. It was eagerly used, and an extensive network of helpers and customers developed. Jolanda established a foundation to provide more support. Last November, she received the 2025 Volunteer Award in the Neighborhood and Environment category.
